The waterfall is about a hundred meters above sea level and is the source of the Cai River. Yang Bay consists of several falls which merge lower down before making a final 10-meter plunge into a pool more than a meter deep with sand and stones on the bottom and fish swimming through the clear water.

The water cascades from high above and makes its way through forest and over rocks as it descends into the valley. Besides swimming and lying on the rocks, visitors can stroll around, go cycling, camp out, and of course eat at the restaurant, which serves up delicacies like stewed queen termites with medicinal herbs, roast or grilled boar meat, rice in bamboo, and jar wine.
